RedM Reports Player Guide

Share this page with your community, or copy it into your own server guides.

Filing a report

  1. Type /report to open the menu.
  2. Pick a category.
  3. Set a priority — you can go up to whatever the server allows; staff can set any level.
  4. Fill in the form for that category. If there is a player field, pick who you are reporting.
  5. (Optional) tick Submit anonymously.
  6. Send.

You will get a confirmation, and you can chat with staff from inside the report.

One report per issue

There is a limit on how many tickets you can have open at once, and a cooldown between creating them. Opening three tickets about the same thing puts you further down the queue, not further up.

Writing a report that gets resolved

The difference between a fast fix and a long back-and-forth is almost always the first message.

  • Say where you were. Location narrows things down faster than anything else.
  • Say when. "About ten minutes ago" is enough.
  • Name the other player as exactly as you can.
  • Say what happened, in order — what led up to it, what happened, what you did.
  • Say what you want. Being unstuck, an item restored, or a rule enforced are different requests.

Anonymous reporting

If your server enables it, you can tick Submit anonymously. Your name and server ID are hidden from staff in the queue, the Discord log, the chat and even the typing indicator.

Use it if you are worried about retaliation. For anything else a named report is easier to resolve, because staff can ask you follow-up questions directly.

Your reports

Open the menu to see your open and closed reports. Use Show Closed to review past tickets before opening a new one about the same thing.

If a report is answered while your menu is closed, you get an on-screen ping.

Live chat

Open a report to chat in real time with the staff member handling it. A "typing…" indicator shows when the other side is composing.

  • Stay in the ticket while it is open. Most tickets stall because the reporter left and staff could not ask the obvious follow-up.
  • Answer the question asked. If staff ask where you were standing, that detail is usually what unblocks everything.
  • Be patient at busy times. A claimed ticket means someone has it.

Screenshots

Your server may capture a screenshot automatically when you open a report, and staff can take further screenshots while working it. You can also attach your own shot, or a burst clip — a rapid series of images.

This is how evidence gets attached to a ticket. If you are unsure what your server captures, ask — it should be covered in your server's rules.

Reviews

When staff close a report they claimed, you are prompted to rate the handler 1–5 stars, with an optional comment.

It takes a moment and it is genuinely used — ratings feed the staff dashboard.

Rate the handling, not the outcome. A staff member who explained clearly why a rule applies did their job well, even if the answer was not the one you wanted.

What reports are not for

  • Not for chatting. Tickets are a work queue.
  • Not for hurrying an open ticket. A second ticket asking about the first slows both down.
  • Not for appealing a ban unless your server says otherwise — bans usually have their own process.

Abusing the report system can get your ability to create reports blocked, temporarily or permanently, separately from any other punishment.
