Installing standalone
No framework, no database, no item. Two lines in server.cfg and you are done.
ensure rm_crayfish
add_ace group.admin rm_crayfish.staff allowThat is the whole installation.
What you get
Everything except the items. Beds seed per server, stock and empty on the world clock, refuse when another player is on them, cool down for two hours after a pull, and roll their outcome on the server.
The lure book does not open, the prompt goes straight to the animation, and a successful pull tells you what it would have given you:
You pulled out x1 CrayfishNothing is granted, because there is nowhere to grant it to.
Why it works this way
A standalone server has no inventory to spend a lure from or put a crayfish into. The resource could refuse every harvest, or it could pretend items exist and silently drop them. It does neither: hasInventory is false, the warden stops asking for a lure, and rewards announce instead of granting.
Every other rule is untouched — distance, cooldown, solitude, the server-side roll, the anti-cheat. That makes standalone a fair way to demo the resource, or to test a change to the harvest loop without a database in the way.
Turning the announcement off
If you would rather it said nothing on a successful pull:
-- local/overrides.lua
RmCrayfish.Local = {
bridge = {
standalone = { announceRewards = false },
},
}Staff
The ace is the only route here — there is no framework group system to check against:
add_ace group.admin rm_crayfish.staff allowThe server console always passes the check, so crayfish_fill and crayfish_dump work from there without any of this.
Adding an inventory later
Install your framework, restart, and check the first line in the console:
[rm_crayfish] framework: VORP CoreNothing in the resource needs changing. It probes at start-up, so the moment a framework is running it binds to it, hasInventory becomes true, and lures and rewards start working. Then follow that framework's page to add the item:
Verifying
/crayfish_fill
/crayfish_warp 13Crouch by the dirt pile and hold the prompt. No lure book — it goes straight to the animation, then tells you what you would have caught.
