Installing RedM Crayfish
Pick the page that matches your server and follow that one. They are short — one item and one line in server.cfg is the whole job on every framework.
| Your server runs | Go to |
|---|---|
| VORP Core | VORP → |
| RSG Core | RSG → |
| RedEM:RP | RedEM:RP → |
| No framework | Standalone → |
Not sure? Install nothing yet, ensure rm_crayfish, and read the first line it prints:
[rm_crayfish] framework: VORP CoreThat is what the resource itself detected, and it is the answer that matters — it probes what is actually running rather than what is in your config.
What every framework needs
1. Drop the folder in and start it
In server.cfg, after your framework:
ensure rm_crayfish2. Give yourself staff
So you can use the test commands:
add_ace group.admin rm_crayfish.staff allowThe ace works on all four. Each framework also accepts its own group system — see its page.
3. Add the crayfish item
This is the only step that differs, and it is what each framework page is for. Standalone skips it entirely.
Restart your inventory resource afterwards
Every inventory caches the item table at start-up. Skipping the restart is the most common reason a harvest completes and no item arrives — and it looks exactly like a bug in the script.
4. Copy the icons
Twelve 96×96 transparent PNGs — the crayfish and all eleven lures — drawn as pen-and-ink engravings to match the packs already in place. Purely cosmetic, so skip it if you would rather.
What none of them need
No utility library, no progress-bar resource, no ox_lib, no external fonts, no CDN scripts. The overlay ships pre-built in web/dist.
There is deliberately no dependencies{} block in fxmanifest.lua — naming one framework would stop the resource starting on the other three.
Where your settings go
Put your changes in local/overrides.lua, not in config/. They are folded over the defaults at load, so you can drop a new version over the top of your server without losing a setting. Edits to config/ are overwritten by the next update.
See Configuration.
If your item is named something else
Do not edit config/. Map it in local/overrides.lua:
RmCrayfish.Local = {
bridge = {
itemAliases = {
p_crawdad01x = 'whatever_you_call_it',
consumable_bread = 'bread',
},
},
}That survives updates. Edits to config/ do not.
Checking it worked
/crayfish_fill
/crayfish_warp 13Crouch by the dirt pile, hold the prompt, pick a lure.
If any of that does not happen, Troubleshooting works through it symptom by symptom.
